Since moving to Los Angeles, Kay has become a member of The Road Theatre Company, worked with Torrance Theatre Company, Write Act Rep, Lit Live, Project Nongenue, Trashcan Shakespeare, and participated in the Short+Sweet Hollywood as well as the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She has also worked on several short films and web series- links posted soon!
Before relocating to Los Angeles, she taught Voice for Theatre/Stage Dialects at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. She continues to do vocal coaching and workshops in the Los Angeles area and is currently teaching voice at the Los Angeles branch of Identity School of Acting. Kay received her Acting MFA at Actors Studio Drama School in New York City. While in NYC, she worked with At Hand Theatre Company, New Light Theater Project, The NYC Int'l Fringe Festival, Kaliyuga Arts, The Dirty Blondes, The Gallery Players, The Survivalists, Between Us Productions, Coffee Black Productions, Ex Libris Theatre, The Forge, and Looking Glass Theatre, as well as the New York Film Academy.
Prior to New York, she worked professionally in Chicago for three years. Some of her favorite shows were with Raven Theatre, Theatre for Young Adults at Apple Tree Theatre, Shapeshifters Theatre, and Darknight Theatrical Productions. She also toured with Griffin Theatre Company, Roberts Marionettes, and Traveling Lantern Theatre Company. |
